The original plan was to see the Cliffs of Moher. We barely saw them through the mist, but driving around Galway and having the West Coast of the country to ourselves was great. As were the scones and fresh cream at the Ballyvaughn restuarant with the blustery view.

The trip consisted of an overnight at the Lake Hotel (lakehotel.com) with a spectacular view of the lakes of Killarney in good weather - including swans, deer, and an ancient castle illumunated at night.
The next day we toured the Dingle Peninsula and stayed at a B&B with a view of Dingle Bay.
